Accessibility Statement

✓ WCAG 2.2 AA ✓ Screen readers

In short: this website aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. You can adjust text size, contrast, spacing and motion with the accessibility button at the bottom left of every page.

Our commitment

CardioMetabolic Health Foundation wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who are blind or partially sighted, deaf, have motor or cognitive impairments, or use assistive technology.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the international standard published by the W3C, which is also the basis of EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act.

Using this website

You should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen;
  • navigate the whole site using just a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link;
  • use a screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver or TalkBack — pages use headings, landmarks, labelled forms and text descriptions for charts and illustrations;
  • stop all animation, either through your device’s “reduce motion” setting or the “Pause animations” option;
  • change colours, text size and spacing in your browser without losing content.

Accessibility options

Select the round accessibility button in the bottom-left corner of any page to:

  • make text larger (up to 140%);
  • switch on high contrast;
  • pause animations;
  • underline all links;
  • increase line, letter and word spacing;
  • use a plainer, more readable font;
  • use a larger mouse pointer.

Your choices are saved on your device only and stay on as you move between pages. Use “Reset all” to go back to the default settings.

How accessible this website is

We believe this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA while we complete testing. Known issues:

  • Some decorative heading text uses a colour gradient; switching on high contrast shows it as solid text.
  • Typefaces load from Google Fonts. If they are blocked, the site falls back to your system fonts.

Feedback and contact

If you find a problem not listed here, or you need information from this website in a different format, such as large print, easy read or plain text, please email collaborate@cardiometabolic.foundation. Tell us the web address of the page and what the problem is. We will reply by email.

If you are not happy

If you are not happy with how we respond, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). In the UK, the Equality Act 2010 requires organisations to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

Technical information
